On March 27, a delegation of alumni from the College of Control Science and Engineering at Zhejiang University visited Skysys’ headquarters in Suzhou. Wang Haibin, Founder and Chairman of Skysys, warmly received the visiting alumni. Both sides engaged in in‑depth discussions on topics such as the low‑altitude economy, drone‑based intelligent O&M, and industry‑academia‑research collaborative innovation.

Site Visit: Close‑Up Look at Technological Achievements

In the afternoon, the alumni of the Control College arrived at Skysys’ Suzhou headquarters. Accompanied by Wang Haibin, the alumni toured the company’s exhibition hall and R&D center, learning in detail about Skysys’ development history, core technologies, and product matrix.

From the industry’s first automatic drone hangar launched in 2016, to the “Skysys SolaX” PV inspection software covering more than 12 GW of installed capacity, and then to the world’s first “low‑altitude + embodied” PV cleaning robots “Big Blue” and “Little Blue” – Skysys’ innovations in drones and robotics left a deep impression on the alumni.

During a live demonstration, Wang Haibin showed the alumni the fully automated drone inspection system and the operational workflow of the PV robots, providing professional explanations of technical details. The alumni highly praised Skysys’ deep integration of the low‑altitude economy with new energy O&M scenarios.

Panel Discussion: Exploring Industry‑Academia‑Research Collaborative Innovation

After the visit, the two sides moved to a conference room for a panel discussion.

At the start of the panel, Wang Haibin extended a warm welcome to the visiting alumni. Fang Gang, Party Secretary of the College of Control Science and Engineering at Zhejiang University, delivered a speech on behalf of the college and the alumni. He introduced the college’s disciplinary advantages and research progress in AI, robotics, new energy, and other fields, and noted that this visit to Skysys aimed to gain an in‑depth understanding of the company’s cutting‑edge practices in the low‑altitude economy and intelligent O&M, and to explore new possibilities for cooperative development.

Hu Zhengyu, Advisor of the Control Chapter of the Ningbo Zhejiang University Alumni Association, then spoke, sharing his deep insights on the transformation of scientific and technological achievements based on his extensive experience in university management and industrial collaboration.

Subsequently, Wang Haibin gave a systematic presentation on Skysys’ development history, strategic layout, and core products. He reviewed the company’s eight‑year journey since its founding in 2017, shared the technological breakthroughs in products such as drone hangars, PV inspection software, and PV cleaning robots, and explained the company’s strategic positioning at the intersection of the low‑altitude economy and new energy.

Cross‑Pollination of Ideas: Alumni Strength for Collaborative Development

During the guest speech segment, alumni from Hangzhou, including Shen Hui, Li Dapeng, and Fu Linkun, shared thoughts on the application of drone technology, paths for technology transfer, and university‑enterprise cooperation models, drawing on their backgrounds in companies such as Zhongkong Technology, Mubo Technology, and Yunda Group.

Alumni from Ningbo (Shi Zhizhong, Yang Peilin), from Hangzhou (Ni Di, Liu Rongjun), and from Shenzhen (Huang Liang) also shared their experiences in areas such as education, investment promotion, investment, and finance, and explored potential cooperation directions with Skysys. Other visiting guests also made brief remarks, offering diverse perspectives and valuable suggestions.

Looking Ahead: Joining Hands to Empower Industry Development

This visit enhanced the alumni’s understanding of Skysys’ technological strength and industrial layout, opened up new space for extensive future cooperation, and provided fresh perspectives for supporting the academic discipline development and talent cultivation work of Zhejiang University’s College of Control Science and Engineering.

In the future, Skysys will continue to uphold an open and cooperative attitude, working with alumni enterprises and university research units to jointly promote innovative applications of drone and robotics technology in new energy, the low‑altitude economy, and other fields, contributing “Skysys Wisdom” to the high‑quality development of the industry.
